Loni Bourne (www.lonibourne.com) and I teamed up and tackled a set of twins together. At almost 3 weeks old you couldn't ask for sweeter babies! The session didn't exactly go as planned though since these 2 little men decided they wouldn't sleep at the same time. We managed to get lots of shots of each of them alone but they weren't much for the cuddly twin poses!

I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding with Loni Bourne Photography yesterday. Loni is such an awesome person and an amazing photographer. I had so much fun with this wedding! The couple was stunning the colors were fabulous and the wedding party provided us with hours of entertainment! We couldn't have asked for a better day. I am challenging myself to take a photo a day for an entire year. I am going to try to be creative, use new techniques and push myself try new things. I know it sound easy but I'm pretty sure by day 7 I will be running low on ideas...... Wish me luck : )

Baby Vogue workshop

I attended a Baby Vogue workshop on baby posing a few weeks ago.These are a few of the poses we went over. It was a lot of fun hanging out with other photographers and taking pictures of ADORABLE babies all day!

Camera used- D90 with 105mm 2.8 macro and D300 with 50mm 1.8. I like to shoot with 2 cameras so I don't have to be changing lenses as much during the shoot..... I know it kind of defeats the purpose of owning a DSLR but I do use other lenses sometimes : )

I had the pleasure of photographing this little girl at 5 days old. She is the most allert baby I have had in my studio to date! No amount of feeding, swaddling, bouncing would keep her sleeping longer than 2 minutes. She was happy..... just not sleepy. Here are a few of the shots we got for mom and dad :)

These images make me happy. I love the light. I love the expressions. I love that it was taken on their family farm during harvest with their dads driving combines and grain trucks around us.

When I saw this challenge I knew I wanted to grab one of my outside desk pictures but I took sooo many this year it was tought to choose one. I ended up grabbing this picture because I loved the the smile on his face the way he is just being a "boy" and holding it on his head. LOl! It's kind of fun being the photographer for your brother and future sister-in-law because you get an opinion into the theme. I have been talking to Ashlee about wedding decore and style and we decided the engagement shoot should reflect that a little bit. We decided on a "vintage" theme for Shaun and Ashlee's engagement photos.

I knew right away I had to have this hat for the photos! I have a few pictures of my grandma and grandpa from before they were married and he was wearing a hat like this (this one was his too but I don't think it's the original from their photos). When our grandpa passed away my grandma gave us each one of his button up plaid shirts. I had mine hanging in the closet so I grabbed it out for this shoot and I am so glad I did. I think it adds the perfect touch to some of these photos.

FYI- The beanbag was about 2" below him. The sling was being held wasn't hanging in the air. He was sleeping very hard when this pic was taken which makes it easier. Sling made by Keri Meyers.
